KPERS Benefits


The Kansas Public Employees System (KPERS) is the pension plan for Kansas retirees who worked in the public sector. They manage your benefits and provide access to your retirement information.

Current Bill Under Consideration

The Joint Committee on Pensions, Investments, and Benefits will be discussing SB282 (financial note) during their October 14 session. If passed in the 2026 session, this bill would create major changes to the structure of KPERS Retirement Plans.

Create your KPERS online account today. With your account you can examine and manage your account and voting for your Board of Trustees representative much easier once logged in.
KPERS publications give users access to details about retirement benefits. 
As a KPERS retiree you probably have some questions about your benefits, like what else you should know. Have you updated your beneficiaries? Did you know you have a death benefit?
